Born in Taiwan, Howard started playing the violin at age of 7. After moving to Vancouver, Canada at 14, he studied under the tutelage of the late Canadian violinist Arthur Polson. Howard played as first violinist for Lord Byng Secondary School String Orchestra and British Columbia Provincial Honor Orchestra, and Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra. In addition to playing at various venues in Canada, Howard also traveled with VYSO for tours in Europe and Australia.
After years away from the violin, Howard is honored to join fellow talented Taiwanese musicians and his daughter, Chloe, to promote Taiwanese culture and music in San Diego.
