Ashley was born in Taiwan. Watching her mom Leslie’s performances while growing up piqued Ashley’s interest in the violin, and inspired her to start learning violin in 2020 in addition to piano. She likes performing and enjoys playing together with her mom and friends on the stage, forming a quintet with her friends in 8th grade which has already seen multiple performances in various venues. Ashley was selected for All-Southern and CODA All-State Honor Orchestras in 2025 and 2026, and she is very grateful for the experiences and lessons she learned while in the program. She appreciates her Taiwanese background and has a strong sense of the mission of preserving Taiwanese culture. Our group’s Taiwanese repertoire “Diu Diu Deng” is her all time favorite, and she always looks forward to it in every performance!
