Chang Dai-Chien was born in Sichuan, China in 1899, establishing his painting career in 1919. He left China in 1949 due to political climate and passed away in 1983 in Taipei, Taiwan. He was one of the most well-known and skilled Chinese artists of the twentieth century.
Director Weimin Zhang spent 12 years and went to 25 different locations to film the documentary “Of Color and Ink: Chang Dai-Chien After 1949”, which will premier on January 18th following the performance by Formosa Generations centered around the Lunar New Year.
